SPRINT PUGLIA

SPRINT Puglia is the regional gateway for local companies wanting to embark on theinternationalisation process of their businesses. It is a tool devised by Apulia’s Regional Government to promote and encourage businesses and others playing an active role in the Apulian economy to access the initiatives, services and other tools that support internationalisation. Endorsed by the Ministry for International Trade, the Sprint gateway was set up in 2004 by the region’s Department for Economic Development and is now overseen by Puglia Sviluppo (development) S.p.A. one of the Regional Government’s in-house concerns.
The main focus of Sprint Puglia is to support small and medium sized businesses and regional business networks by sharing and disseminating knowledge and helping them acquire the expertise and experience needed to be successful on the global market. Its goal, in fact, is to help companies advance their journey towards internationalisation by providing access to information on opportunities for development and collaboration on major foreign markets as well as technical and operational support in the implementation of projects and initiatives designed to boost the region’s economy.
INFORMATION SERVICES AND INITIAL GUIDANCE
The SPRINT gateway provides Apulian businesses with information regarding the availability of international, EU, national and regional tools and tax breaks that will facilitate internationalisation. News of trade fairs and other initiatives of particular international relevance designed to promote the economy are also made available along with details of measures provided for within the Regional Internationalisation Programme. Services that provide Apulian operators with initial guidance on foreign markets are also on hand.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE APULIA REGION WITHIN THE AMBIT OF INTERNATIONALISATION POLICIES.
SPRINT Puglia helps the Apulian Regional Government - from a technical and operational standpoint - to develop policies designed to foster the internationalisation of local businesses. In essence, it provides Apulian operators with services that facilitate access to incentives, tax breaks and other financial tools that support the internationalisation process and and to participate in events designed to boost the economy envisioned by the Regional Internationalisation Programme. It also fosters new commercial relationships by organising overseas missions for Apulian operators and others, for foreign operators, in Apulia. One of the most strategically useful activities it organizes is training on the opportunities and problems linked to the development of the internationalisation process, as well as promoting courses, seminars, workshops and meetings on the subject.
